18” F. Gaultier Wood-Bodied Poupee, Circa 1870
The firm of Francoise Gaultier was very prolific and provided …..

Both the 17″ and 19″ sisters from the Gaultier firm have all wooden bodies.

Mlle. Berthé Estelle has been the understudy of the prima donna in the stage play, “Phantom of the Opera.” Tonight, she will play the role of Christine for the first time. Here she is dressed in the costume for the song, “Wishing You Were Here With Me,” sung at her father’s grave in the cemetery.

Here, Mlle. Berthé Estelle shows off her winning ribbon in the DAG 2023 Digital Doll Festival, Fashion Icons Through the Ages. Her ribbon reads Lovely Lady Award.

Here is her 17″ younger sister, Mlle. Clara Leone, decked out for a holiday party.

Here is the baby of the family, Noémie Joelle, a 12″ leather bodied miss with FG on her shoulder-plate. Her name means pleasant joy, and she is just that to her family.

Here is Mlle. Berthé Estelle in one of her favorite outfits. The lace was hand made by her aunt, Mme. Linda Kay, who is bringing antique lace making techniques to our world. If you’re interested in learning lace making on-line, Mme. Linda Kay has online classes. Contact her here: https://thelacemuseum.org/virtual-education/
